Today I became "THAT" mom...

... you know the one.

I was the one in Target with a screeching baby...

The baby who dumped over his snack bowl after managing to get the lid off (no easy task!)...

Yes, that was me...

Rushing to grab my groceries...

Trying to stop the screeching and pick up the snacks (I gave up and went to find a Target employee to sweep it up)...

I was "THAT" mom.

Hey everyone has been there ... I used to wonder why parents didn't discipline their kids when they threw big temper tantrums in stores...then one day, I went to Kohl's to pick up some shorts I needed with the kids I nannied for (they were about 3 and 1 at the time, and I had them for an entire weekend!) and they proceeded to try to kill each other (pulling hair, screaming, crying) in the double stroller. I dropped all of my clothes and got out of there as quickly as possible. Now I know, sometimes it's just easier to get the hell out of there than teach a lesson in "civics."

Yikes! I forgot about that aspect of motherhood. I assumed that my child would be a perfect angel when we go out in public. He will, won't he? Of course he won't. I'll try your tactic though: get out out as quickly as possible.

When you are "THAT" mom or dad, it is hard to remember that "THAT" mom is actually the normal one.

Continued success.

Ugh. Being that Mom always make me break out into a cold sweat and tense up so bad. I grit my teeth and try and smile but sometimes I just go home. We get in the car (sans struggle hopefully) and breathe a sigh of relief.
